These
first three pictures are from the 2001 Festival - cooking and eating at the
Archers feast.
The Adelaide Medieval Festival 2002
The
Medieval Festival is held every year during late March or early April over 2
days in the grounds (100 acres) of historic Carrick Hill.
We have knights in combat, medieval archery, belly dancers, morrismen, storytelling
and much more. There is feasting on the Saturday night and lots of stalls and
crafts.
On the Saturday afternoon there is an Archery Tournament (which Peter won this
year HOORAH!!!!!) with the prize a beautiful engraved pewter goblet by the Arthurian
society (which by the way looks sensational in my nearly completed medieval
room).
There are also costume competitions and lots of things to try, look and enjoy.
Hope you enjoy.
This shows our motley crew posing, parading, shooting and
Peter receiving his prize.
The first is our guys shooting again. In the second note
the big guy, he has a Mongolian longbow and uses a thumb release.
The first is Peter and I posing with his new crossbow and
the second is me standing in front of our stall with the gear that I make.
